The magnificent John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago is home to the original
denitrification system installed by EcoMat employees. In January of 1998
we installed a second unit, smaller than the first and shipped on its own
skid mounting. This equipment is now operating well.
It is a two-hundred liter reactor system, with a foam fractionator. It takes water
from several different fish tanks, denitrifying it and returning it to
those tanks.
